Prato feito or buffet: two ways to have Brazilian lunch
A plate lunch and a buffet can share familiar food without being the same order. The difference is how you choose and how the meal is served. Decide which experience you want before picking the dish.
Choose a PF when you want a described combination
The PF menu names a plate and lists what comes with it. This is useful for pickup and for anyone who wants to know the combination before ordering. Check each description: the sides on PF Feijoada, for example, are specific to that plate.
Explore the buffet for what is being served
A buffet lets you see the food offered at the counter. Ask about the current selection, service times and pricing format on arrival. A photograph shows one moment of service, not a guarantee that every pictured dish is on the counter every day.
Ordering for other people
Individual plates can help when each person wants a different meal. A catering tray can suit a shared table, but needs a separate conversation about portions, date and serving time. Do not treat the buffet display or an individual PF price as a group quote.
